GALA Newsletter - Promotional Event Policy

Policy established by the GALA Board on 4-23-1991
 

ANY EVENT:

All events, whether they be educational, for fun, for profit, display, promote, or otherwise involve lamas can be listed in the GALA Newsletter Calendar of Events. Listing must include date, place, a brief description, cost (if any), and the name and phone number of the contact person for the event.

GALA SPONSORED EVENTS:

Events sponsored by GALA may have (at no charge) display advertising, articles, and response forms published in the newsletters preceding the event. Examples are the GALA Conference or GALA sponsored workshops.

NONPROFIT EVENTS:

Events which are clearly nonprofit, such as educational exhibits at fairs, parades,  and, conferences sponsored by a GALA member, may have articles describing the event published in the newsletter prior to the date of the event.

PROFIT EVENTS:

Events which are for profit (i.e., at which llamas or other products are offered for sale) or at which a fee is charged to participants, such as auctions, field days, open houses, etc., may purchase display advertising for the event in the newsletter. In addition, with the purchase of display advertising, a short (250-300 words) article may be submitted for publication prior to the event.

AFTER THE EVENT:

After the event has taken place, submittal of news articles describing the event are encouraged in all cases.

WHERE TO SEND PROMOTIONAL EVENTS:

All promotional information, calendar of events & articles, (not paid display ads) must be sent by the deadline to :
