Katrina and her husband Gary live in Ballston Spa, New York, where they have owned and raised llamas since 1990. The farm has 35 llamas, which include 17 boarded animals. In addition to the llamas, their 42-acre facility currently houses eight horses (six boarders plus their own two geldings).

Katrina was instrumental in introducing llamas to the Saratoga County Fair in 1992 and has been exhibiting there ever since. Serving as Superintendent , with the help of Elayne Ryba, she started both a County Llama Show along with a 4-H Llama Show for the kids. She is the founding leader of a 4-H club started in 1997 called "The Woolly Llama Whisperers."
The youth get a chance to go to shows with a borrowed llama, while also having fun and learning about their care and well being. The club also enjoys taking the llamas in parades, walkathons, nursing homes, schools, and many other events where there is a lot of public interaction with the llamas.

Katrina's main goal has been to educate the public about llamas, striving to create in them a respect and love for these wonderful creatures. In addition to the above, she has done several shearing demos both on and off the farm, llama "birthday parties", farm tours and day hikes, and seminars for Cornell Cooperative Extension.

When Katrina is not doing llama or horse "stuff" she works as an Accountant for a Saratoga Springs CPA firm.
