GALA Newsletter Advertising PolicyText Box: All advertising is open to members and non-members. If you have any questions about the GALA Ad Policy or if you need further information, please contact Cynthia Barkman at 908-876-4919. CLASSIFIED ADS: $5.00 FOR THE FIRST 35 WORDS. Each additional word after 35 is 10 cents each. The farm name counts as 1 word. The animal’s name counts as 1 word. The phone number counts as 1 word. Punctuation does not constitute a word. No discount for running classified ads in more than 1 issue, or for multiple ads in the same issue. No drawings, photos, or business cards are allowed in the classified ad section. Animals for sale will be classified by state; no need to waste words on the state in the ad. Stud section, and other sections ARE NOT classified by state; you may wish to list state in your ad. Ads are standardized using bold face, and italicized print. We do not rewrite or correct your text. DISPLAY ADS: Full Page Ad = $75.00 per ad for 1 or 2 issues. $63.00 each for 3 or more issues paid in advance. Half Page Ad = $40.00 per ad for 1 or 2 issues. $34.00 each for 3 or more issues paid in advance. Quarter Page Ad = $20.00 per ad for 1 or 2 issues. $17.00 each for 3 or more issues paid in advance. Business Card Ad = $10.00 per ad for 1 or 2 issues. $8.00 each for 3 or more issues paid in advance. Preprinted Inserts = Either black & white or color, will be taken for a cost of $100.00 plus an insert fee for the printer. You must supply all the copies. All Ads must be Camera Ready in the proper size. All photographs used in display ads must be black & white and photo ready (positive halftones-Velox), screened as a positive (PMT) to between 100 and 110 line per inch. Ads may also be submitted pursuant to certain electronic guidelines. You will be notified if your ad is the incorrect size or not camera ready. This may result in your ad not being promptly run. COVER ADS: Back Cover = $125.00 Inside Back Cover = $125.00 Inside Front Cover = $200.00 Back Outside Mailer Cover = $125.00 Front Inside Mailer Cover = $100.00 Center Fold Ads = $200.00 (2 full pages) These ads are all full page ads. The farm/person who is currently running the ad will be notified when the ad is about to run out, and will be given the opportunity to renew the ad. Upon renewal, the ad must be prepaid for the full year. If the farm/person does not wish to renew, a notice will be published in the newsletter before the final run of the ad and the cover ad will be open to the membership. Should multiple farms/people wish to use the cover ad space, the winner of the ad space will be chosen by lottery or on a first come first serve basis. ALL ADS: MUST be sent WITH PAYMENT, ads sent without payment will NOT BE RUN. MUST be received by the deadline dates: January 1, March 1, May 1, July 1, September 1, & November 1. Any ad not received by the deadline dates will be run in the issue after the current one. Multiple ads will start to run with the next issue and continue consecutively in each issue thereafter, unless otherwise requested and prearranged. Arrangements can be made to run ads in specific issues. Specific placement of ads in the newsletter will be taken under consideration but will not be guaranteed. Members are encouraged to place ads. Prepayment of ads will be accepted for up to 1 year in advance of first run date.
