June 6, 2009 (Saturday) 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. "Now What"™ Llama Training Clinic.

Training for the overall welfare and well being of the llama and the safety of the handler. Clinic held at Sputtermill Ranch Llamas in Petersham, MA. Workshop Fee: $65.00 per person. Clinic Day includes: Continental breakfast, hands-on clinic, working lunch, and handouts. Animals are provided for your use during the clinic; or you may bring a llama with prior arrangement. Learn what your animal is thinking and how to safely handle llamas and alpacas while haltering, leading, and trailer loading. Clinic will also include increasing your performance skills. August 13-16, 2009 West Virginia Grand Llama and Llama FleeceShow
Lewisburg, West Virginia at the WV State Fairgrounds.  ALSA Sanctioned Llama, Performance, Youth & Fleece show.  125 llama limit this year.  Cash Premiums paid to 3rd place, Rosette Ribbons to 5th place, Medallions to 5th place, Grand and Reserve Grand Felt Banners & Best of Show Awards/Trophies plus something special from me :-) for our exhibitors. 

Check-in on Thursday, August 13th 12:noon and Shorn Fleece judging at 6pm.
Friday, August 14th (Exhibitors meeting at 8am) 8:30am to 10am- Walking Fleece evaluation.
Friday, August 14th at 9am to 6pm- Showmanship/Non-Breeder/Mini Llama(2009 class schedule addition)/Open Costume/Performance/Youth Judging.
Friday show concludes with Fleece Show & Performance Awards Ceremony which includes our 2009 Performance and Fiber Best of Show Llamas.
Saturday, August 15th at 8am to 1pm- Suri, Light, Medium & Heavy fiber Llama, POD & GOS Conformation Classes. (considering a "Classic" Llama class/es if multiple interest is expressed)
Saturday show concludes with The WV Grand 2009 Best of Show Llama Conformation Show.
Check -out on Sunday, August 16th by show management.

NEW this year...Llama Barn decorating contest! To be judged by our State Fair of WV Fair Board members. Please educate and decorate your llamas stall. Selections will be determined, recognition given & prizes awarded during the show weekend!!!

The “Big E” Farm-a-rama Lama Exhibit is the place you want to be!   Share and learn from experienced lama owners.  Make new friends and contacts.  Get free entry and parking tickets and see the fair. JUST FOR SITTING WITH AND TALKING ABOUT OUR BELOVED ANIMALS!!!  For over 20 years volunteers have been giving of themselves to educate the public at this event. Please help us keep this valuable resource from ending!
