What You Can Do
If there are faucets or drains in the classroom, these potential moisture sources need to be monitored.
Leaky faucets are an obvious source of moisture and potential mold growth. If the faucet, or any of the pipes connecting to the faucet are dripping, calling for maintenance is a priority. After any leak has been stopped, please inspect the area for excessive moisture or mold growth.
Any drains should have water flushed down them at least once every other week. Stagnant water in the drain trap can promote mold growth. If the water in the drain trap dries up entirely, gas from the sewer line can come back up the pipe.
